The PC works really well, I bought it with windows 10 but since the OS will be obsolete soon I installed Linux in it, it works great for soft editing and browsing and I will get a year or two more out of it.

Superb value for money. Just one quite serious complaint. The DVD/CD unit failed after one hours use. Became obvious why…..the thin but wide flexible plastic strip containing fine wiring simply got creased and failed. See photos. Really wasn’t worth the aggravation returning it, as a replacement DVD/CD unit cost just £25, and I had it done within a couple of hours. STILL made it a cheap PC set-up. Easy to set up too.

I had very low expectations of this if I'm honest, and especially after reading some of the bad reviews I expected this to be too good to be true. Let me tell you, I was very wrong. What arrived was a the OptiPlex 780 SFF (Small Form Factor) with a few very minor scratches to the casing as to be expected with a refurb. What also arrived was a Dell branded monitor with a new VGA cable, still in the packet. Also a new keyboard & mouse. The USB WiFi dongle was better better than what I expected would arrive, it's an 802.11n dongle with an antenna - but this PC has gigabit LAN which will give a better connection but it's nice to have the option. All power cables were included with no links, cuts or frays. As soon as I unboxed I popped the casing to see what actually arrived, straight away I could see that there was a quality check sticker from IT Buffs so that was my first indication that someone there actually had at the very least been inside. I must have gotten lucky because this one has a 250GB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm HDD, bigger than advertised and faster speed than I expected to get. There is indeed 4GB, 4 x 1GB, which I don't think was the original configuration because 3 sticks were Hynix and 1 was Samsung. The CPU was an E5300 2.6 GHz which is just OK and on par with what I thought this would come with. The case was also free of dust and well cable managed. Booted straight up and wasn't the fastest bootup in the world but wasn't worryingly long either - a very fair time for the PC spec I would say. It is indeed 64 bit Windows 10 Pro and isn't filled with crapware you normally get on PCs. Appears to be a fresh install with the Office trial as described. System settings & device manager confirm processor, installed RAM, drivers for all hardware, etc. Performance is absolutely fine, wouldn't say there's anything slow about it. No, you won't play this latest games on this, but you could possibly play some older games from the era this PC was new or maybe some less demanding indie games from Steam. This is a refurbed PC, monitor, keyboard & mouse all for £60 - it's absolutely FANTASTIC, and if you're not expecting the earth it's the deal of the year. PLUS it has a warranty as well as being covered by Amazon returns if anything does go wrong. I bought this purely out of curiosity but this would be the perfect first PC for a young kid, or simple workstation for a secretary / admin in an office for something like emails or office tasks. What I would recommend and have already ordered for this is a small SSD to help with the boot times and general performance - there's a Crucial 240GB one on here for around £30 and isn't overly hard to do following tutorials. It also has two PCIe x16 slots so if you really wanted you could do some more upgrades. For example if you wanted a proper WiFi card there's a TP Link PCIe card on here for £11.99 that would pop straight in. I think I read somewhere that the OptiPlex 780 SFF is a bit limited due to its small size and PCIe slot position that mean it's difficult, but not impossible, to fit a graphics card. What would help is unhooking the HDD tray using the blue clips and moving it somewhere else, otherwise you could buy a low profile graphics card. I did say you won't play the latest games straight out of the box, but there are a few videos online that seemingly suggest you can play some new games if you put a bit of extra money into it. If you need a simple PC and aren't expecting something prestine and lightning fast, don't even hesitate, just buy it.

I wish I had read the reviews about this company before purchasing an item from them. I see there are numerous complaints about the way they do business. I will certainly be submitted a claim against this purchase with Amazon. This is the first time that I have ever received such a poor product from Amazon in all the years that I have been ordering from them. There is certainly a beach of s14 Section 14: quality or fitness (i) 5In relation to a contract made on or after 18 May 1973 and before the appointed day, substitute the following for section 14:— “14 Implied terms about quality or fitness. (1)Except as provided by this section and section 15 below and subject to any other enactment, there is no implied condition or warranty about the quality or fitness for any particular purpose of goods supplied under a contract of sale. (2)Where the seller sells goods in the course of a business, there is an implied condition that the goods supplied under the contract are of merchantable quality, except that there is no such condition— (a)as regards defects specifically drawn to the buyer’s attention before the contract is made; or (b)if the buyer examines the goods before the contract is made, as regards defects which that examination ought to reveal. So what sort of computer do you get for 50 Quid? Well, obviously second-hand but beautifully packed, expertly cleaned, and working perfectly. I bought this machine for an older relative who wanted a computer “like her old one”. I loaded an Office 13 package for which I had the gold disc that I had from way back. All ran fine. Startup time was surprisingly good. If you need a light use machine, this is a superb buy. Why did you choose this product over others?: Price, quality

Recue le 20 aout Mail lors de la remise au livreur avec numero de suivi (dpd uk) et lien qui permet le suivi Puis lors d'un appel dpd, j'ai appris que mon colis était passé à chronopost qui a bien livré. J'ai commandé 3 pcs pour mes fils pour connexion à la plateforme collégiale Tout est fonctionnel ! Dommage qu'en l'état, ils ne puissent pas jouer à fortnite, j'upgraderai plus tard. Les pcs, écrans étaient emballés dans du papier bulle et ont tres bien vecu le trajet. Bien que l'on voit que cela a été utilisé, tout est tres fonctionnel. Nouveaux claviers et souris. J'ai demandé si jamais ils avaient du stock en prise secteur françaises s'ils pouvaient m'en mettre : c'est bien ce que j'ai recu Et je dois dire que le vendeur a toujours répondu a mes questions Ce qui est rassurant 2 pcs à + de 200go de mémoire et 1 à 130go Sur le carton, il y a une checklist, ce qui selon moi prouve le sérieux. Sur 3 colis, rien n'a été omis. Après plusieurs tentatives pour être livré qui non pas abouti finalement livré pour temps quand je lisait les commentaires j avait peur de ce que j allait recevoir j'ai mm voulu annulé ma commande mais finalement bien surpris il est plutôt mieux que ce que je pensais un peu longue à ce mettre en marche mais pour le moment sava a voir dans la suite
