I like the fact that it's 1 Tb SSD. No problems connecting. Plug in and use. Bought to hold files, photos and videos from an old PC. My son made a zip file for me of all I wanted to transfer onto this new portable drive. Still in progress but very happy with Sonnics. I have another of their drives for my TV recordings, works perfectly.

This external hard drive works like a dream—no crashes, no issues. But I’m still baffled by the camo design on the front. Is it preparing for a covert mission in the Amazon? Did someone think I’d be storing top-secret jungle intel? Spoiler alert: it’s mostly family photos and spreadsheets. Unless my desk suddenly turns into a war zone, I can’t see the point. Confusing aesthetic choices aside, it’s a solid piece of tech—just maybe a bit too prepared for the call of duty

It works well, but I'm not sure if it really is an SSD, I don't want to take the enclosure apart for a good look, but my PC identifies it as a Hard Disk Drive not an SSD, if that's the I could have had a bigger one with more storage for less money. If it's wrongly identified by my PC then I'm otherwise happy, hence 3 stars. If I could be sure that this was an SSD then I'd give it 5 stars. When I use my disk tools, to optimise and defrag etc, my pc identifies it as a hard disk drive and attempts to defrag when it should trim if an SSD. Hence my doubts.

I love my Sonnics 1TB SSD. So much so I bought another. Ithas great performance and is easy to use, simply format, plug and play. A full TB of space to fill up. The download speed is fine, it doesn't take forever. It can be formatted different ways - I had to enlist my husband for this because I'm a bit of a technophobe - but he did it for me in seconds. I had to buy an adaptor to use it with my ipad but that was the only extra I needed. It looks pretty and appeals to the Magpie in me that likes shiny things. I bought the pink, then the red. I need another now and am eyeing up the purple. If Sonnics would like to sponsor me I'll happily accept one 😜
