I've delayed the purchase of a display pen tablet, waiting for 120 hz, 4k, 100% Adobe98 gamut, laminated big screen specs. This Huion display tablet doesn't meet that wishlist, but it satisfies it, for me. At 60 hz refresh, 72% Adobe98 gamut, and 1080p across a 13.3" diagonal, I wasn't expecting the device to impress or work for me. And yet it does. The greatly reduced parallax displacement between pen and cursor, the available gamut (Wider than sRGB), the build quality, the adequacy of resolution, and the price point constitute a viable professional tool. Yes, I'd like all the 'other stuff', but at this price I know that's not available. I'm delighted with the ease of setup and well considered functionality and neatness of this product, and the effective contribution it's already making to my workflow. It runs cool and quiet (fabless design) colours and black levels are good 'out of the box' - although I took the backlight down to 51% to suit the ambient lighting of my work area. I am inclined to buy a 16" version for my main machine, when Huion make that offer. Another excellent feature of the tablet is its battery-free pen, a feature I have come to expect from previous high-end non-display tablets. Speaking of the pen, I have watched and read other reviews of the Pro 13 which have pointed-up problems in the rendering of straight lines. I've downloaded the latest MacOS driver from Huion, and am using it with the second update to MacOS Mojave. Happily, the 'wobbly line' problem has been corrected - or at least is not showing itself on my system.

I've ummed and ahhed over this model for a while as I've previously only ever had wacoms, but I wanted to try a monitor tablet for a long time now and don't feel like shelling out £1k+. I've seen some good video reviews for the huion, and some not-so-good reviews but I decided to give it a go. Design-wise the tablet is very beautiful. I'm keeping it in its box until I get a case/wasn't sure for the first couple of days if I would keep it due to some issues (explained below) and every time I get it out I'm enamoured by how pretty it is. I was not expecting it to be so light and yet feel so sturdy. The pen and screen feel very nice to use. I saw some reviews saying the matte texture felt like paper, but I wasn't convinced. It DOES feel nice though. I can remember feeling like I was constantly scratching my bamboo with every stroke so this is a really nice change. I will get a protector though as I want to keep this screen nice. I had a few issues on initial setup- the pen was offset by a small amount which made trying to draw and pinpoint on the screen a little difficult. When using the tablet as a second screen (switching my windows 10 laptop to "extend" rather than "duplicate" I found that on Photoshop it was more offset than ever, and a good two inches out on SAI and it was very jarring. I fixed this by checking the resolution settings for my laptop and resetting the second screen's settings. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and would now say that the pen and cursor are 99% lined up, and I'm pretty happy with that. Pressure sensitivity is good- over time I've had to press harder and harder with my intuos, and the pen and it's sensitivity is so much lighter with the Huion. The pen is comfortable to hold and I like it a lot. There are hotkeys on one side (the left) of the tablet, and because I'm left handed I wanted to flip the tablet so that the keys were on the right side. This is very simple with the wacom intuos, but it's a struggle with the Huion. You'll need to adjust the settings with the Huion Tablet application AND in the Bios settings on the tablet itself. I've also found that it does not save these settings, and each time I turn the tablet on I have to set it up again on the bios which is a little annoying. EDIT: this is now no longer an issue! It appears to be saved, though I'm not sure if there was something I had to press to get it to, or if I was doing something wrong up til then! The screen flickered a little yesterday but I think it was how I'd plugged the wires in. If it does it again at the next use I will contact Huion support. The only other thing I need to do is adjust the colour and brightness on the screen because it's very bright compared to my other devices! I'm hoping this is going to become a valuable tool with my art!

My daughter saved up for this drawing tablet, after using a WACOM tablet for two years. The best part of this tablet is that you get your complete PC screen on this tablet, and you see the lines you draw. A wacom tablet is more of a mouse, where you make the movements on your desk and see it on your normal PC screen. This Huion tablet lets you draw more like pencil and paper, as the lines appear under the pressure on the screen. Perfect. We use it in conjunction with Photoshop.

Sembra di disegnare sulla carta " ed io ero poco convinto se potevo trovarmi bene col disegnare su un display con penna essendo abituato solo con la carta" ma ho dovuto ricredermi e fantastico cosa si può fare. E' qualche giorno che gioco con questo nuovo acquisto e considerando il rapporto prezzo/qualità/portatilità mi sento di consigliarlo. Non è comunque esente da difetti, nonostante abbia provato vari driver o rimuovendo i driver wacom, alcune funzioni rimangono inutilizzabili. Ho tentato di contattare Huion tramite mail o il loro sito e non ho ricevuto alcuna risposta a riguardo ed è un po' scocciante, considerando come si vogliono porre sul mercato. Ottimo il feeling della penna anche se molto leggera, quasi completa assenza di parallasse e qualità costruttiva ottima. Rimane una spanna sotto alla Cintiq Pro 13, MA COSTA UN QUARTO, quindi più che accettabile.

Reading the products description, it wasn't stated that you can't use this drawing tablet without having to connect it to another monitor. The photos also did not show the impossibility to use it without any further devices. For potential purchasers: This is a really good drawing tablet, the pen and the feeling while drawing were excellent but you cannot use this device like a usual tablet, if it's not connected to another device/monitor(e.g. computer, TV) the monitor will remain black and you will not be able to draw. But if you want to draw in front of an additional monitor then I can highly recommend purchasing.
