I was very positively surprised by this "gaming" laptop. Thanks to its powerful HX 370 processor which has a very good iGPU, I actually keep its 4070 discrete GPU disabled most of the time. It is completely silent and has a good battery life. The first thing I did was to immediately format the PC and reinstall with a fresh win11 USB. Despite having disabled armoury crate in the BIOS beforehand it still installed some Asus services, which I disabled. No software bloatware though after the reinstall though. Be aware that the driver for the wifi chip on this model is not included in the win11 install USB media. You need to download it from Asus and put it on the drive or use Ethernet. I then installed g-helper. It is immensely useful. I set the CPU mode to silent, and GPU to ECO which disables the discrete GPU. The PC is silent most of the time and I expect around 9 hours of battery life in normal usage. There is plenty of power in reserve if needed for more complex tasks. The screen is good. I keep it at 60hz to maximise battery life. As with the rest of the system, its ability to do 165Hz can be useful when needed. I did not install any Asus software, but I did install the AMD tools. With it one can allocate RAM to the iGPU. I set it at 8GB leaving the rest of the system at 24GB. I wish it was completely seamless. It is great that it has a second port for NVMe drives, which I am planning to use. Some issues: * BIOS update seems to not work with bitlocker encryption. As Bitlocker encryption is desirable and enabled by default, I am surprised Asus did or could not design its BIOS updates with this in mind. * It is a bit heavier than I would have preferred but I am happy with this purchase. * Would have been a nice gesture to include a 100W USB4 charger with such an expensive PC. There is a large 200W power brick with its special port, which would be needed for intense use. For daily use and travel a USB-C charger would be a good purchase.

Laptop one of the best i have had and 1st gaming laptop i've had. Not too crazy about the various flashing keyboard backlights but you can set it to a single backlight. Speed of the laptop is pretty good and runs the programmes i want to run with no bother. Well pleased with the laptop, bought to replace the original laptop purchased 4 weeks earlier to run my programmes but couldn't handle it. Well pleased with the purchase, ease of use and overall appearance. And it was cheaper than the original. Would buy another one. It is a very good laptop.

I purchased this laptop to use for things like coding, building reports and dashboards in power bi. Using Microsoft office. Watching YouTube. Bricked on a Windows Update Firmware update after not even 4 months. Amazon support superb as usual, I could return it and ordered a new laptop but I must say really poor. If you search on the internet for this model you find a lot of people with blank screen and laptop not starting. I went for an Asus as they seem to be generally better but not this model. Being the AMD version there is always this sensation of delay when using windows I really cannot stand. It seems to be an AMD thing

I bought this gaming laptop to treat myself after using an office laptop to play games for almost 3 years and it handles better than most proper pc setups, highly recommend for gaming mid / high end, came with some cool quality stickers to customise the thing and has impressed me so far, only mentions are the fans and heat can sometimes be a little hot / loud when you play for a long time, but like I said, it's a must buy for its price and specs 👍

Got this as a gift for family for plus average gaming. It just does the job very well. Good spec all round. Its endless what you can get for gaming at ridicules money for top end stuff. This has 144htz screen resolution - DDR5 memory 16gb, if you get more the price jumps up a lot - so no less than 16gb...!! Plus 1TB of hard drive. The similar 512gb is cheaper but it depends what your doing with it. It is a gamer laptop so horses for courses. However, with the choice out there these days think before you purchase because many don't need all singing and dancing because there friend has one. The problem is at the lower cheaper end, the manufacturers mix and oddly match components.
