The media could not be loaded. This is everything I want in an external hard drive. It worked as soon as I plugged it into my Mac Book Pro and was perfectly compatible with Apple (I don’t have a PC, so I can’t speak to its comparability, but it seems like it would also work fine with a non-Apple computer). I love that it uses a USB-C connection and that the cord can be replaced with any other USB-C cord. It’s tiny! So portable. Gone are the days of giant, heavy drives! It has enormous storage capacity and works a treat. It’s also completely silent and so far has been perfect for backing up my files. Plug and play, super easy to use. If you want a small external drive for a good price, I would highly recommend this one.

I did an informal benchmark copying a Photos library onto this disk. It took 47 seconds for 15.25GB, which is a real world 325MB/second. I compared it with a Crucial 2TB SSD I have and the Crucial came in about 10% faster, not a big difference especially considering it had much more free space. I think this is a fine product for the capacity, size, weight, speed and price. I'm using it to boot my Mac in an older OS so I can run some older software and it boots and operates just fine.
