National Certificate for Door Supervisors (Level 2)Why?This course provides awareness of security issues to meet an increasing demand for more well-trained operatives in the security sector. It is an approved course for an SIA licence. This award is essential considering the ever changing and developing duties and responsibilities. Who should take this qualification?The Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors is designed for door supervisors already working in licensed retail or wishing to start work in the industry and is awarded to those who pass two examinations covering the basic knowledge and responsibilities of the occupation. This nationally recognised qualification will be the industry standard and will enable a door supervisor to apply for a licence to practise. What's covered?
For full details go to www.biiab.org. What's the course like?There are two examinations, one for each unit. Each examination will have forty multiple-choice questions and will take 1 hour. While Unit 1 is a conventional multiple-choice paper, Unit 2 requires you to watch video clips before answering the questions. How long does it take?The course will take 15 hours per unit, including the two examinations, A handbook is available which outlines the content of the course, and contains all the knowledge required to pass the examination. Generally the 30 hours plus exams are taken over a 4-day course.
