Training in the Community

Computer Gym was founded with one key aim - to bring computer-based learning to your doorstep. We work in partnership with you to deliver learning to disadvantaged areas, the unemployed, youth and community groups through our Mobile Learning Centres and Laptop Flying Squads.

Our mobile delivery means that: learners don't have to travel; there is flexibility in delivering in urban and rural locations: and the learning environment is fun and non-threatening.

We are entirely open, flexible, friendly and can work with you anywhere, from community centres to churches, from fields to factories and from housing estates to health centres.

Projects can take computer-based learning as far as the learner requires and embed subjects such as literacy and numeracy, entry to employment life skills and even vocational training and qualifications.

Delivery encompasses all sectors and age groups including:

• Hard to reach groups
• Unemployed who want to get back into employment
• Those that do not normally engage in post-16 education
• Social landlord housing tenants
• Disadvantaged communities
• Voluntary/community groups
• All age groups
• School children
• People with disabilities
